Migração de softwares desktop para WEB

Com certeza vários de vocês devem ter percebido de que há uma crescente no desenvolvimento de soluções WEB.
Um ícone forte hoje que está impulsionando esta migração é o google, veja alguns exemplos:

Google Spreadsheets: é uma planilha eletrônica, ou uma espécie de Excel para WEB;
Google Page Creator: é um editor visual de html;
Google Language Tools: é um tradutor;
Google Calendar: é uma agenda eletrônica;
Writely: é um editor de texto, um word WEB;
Gmail: é web-mail, um outlook WEB;
Flickr: é gerenciador de fotos;
del.icio.us é um favoritos on-line
FoxMarks: é um favoritos on-line para FireFox;
Bloglines: é um leitor de RSS;
Thumbstacks: é um editor de slide show, PowerPoint; **Incluído depois da publicação do post

Um outro grande exemplo é o Flash-SCUMM, um projeto da CubaGames junto com WeremSoft no desenvolvimento da engine, desktop, SCUMM para flash, WEB.

E agora?
Qual será o próximo software desktop a ter uma versão WEB?

  2. Sory for post in english, but my brasilian is worst than my english.

    I share your vision about the high number of web based versions of existing desktop utilities. Some time ago, a guy in the job says:

    “…today an aplication that’s not in the web, well, can’t be called application”

    An that is in most cases true. It seems like the reborn of the old paradigm of silly-console/mainframe.

    Do you see the capability of browse the web using your TV?. This is very cool because you can create software and share it very easy in a great variety of devices(as I see, flash is perfect for that).

    I think that is a very interesting tendence.
